Philadelphia collar is one of the orthosis which is used in the most of the cervical spine injuries, diseases and soft tissue damages of the neck according to the physician approval. This device is placed after HALO VEST and MINERVA JACKET from the aspect of immobilizing the neck and apply more movement limitation than FOUR POSTER. 

Philadelphia collars usually cause to limit flexion and extension of the neck up to 70 percent and they limit rotation of the neck up to 60 percent and also they limit lateral bending of the neck up to 50 percent, but because TEB & SANAT Philadelphia collar is designed with the mixture of other Philadelphia collars and Cuirass-type Collars, has more immobilization than usual Philadelphia collars.

:User's guide

Choose the correct size of the Philadelphia collar according to the neck circumference and age of the patient.

Put the cervical collar parts together in the right direction according to the pictures and signs

Put the lateral straps in such a way that the device place symmetrically around your neck with no deviation in the head and neck.

Wash gently in cold water and soap at least twice a week

Time of using of the cervical collar must be determined by your physician, if you must use this device during the day and night, please pay attention to the indications.

:Indications

This cervical collar is washable, so taking a bath along with it is allowed

Use a medical pillow when sleeping with this device or fill nape of your neck with a soft cylinder. The size of the cylinder should be as much as the nape of your neck has 1 centimeter distance from mattress surface

Because using orthopedic assistive is along with applying force and movement limitations, at first it may be against your habit or bother you. But after several days of using you will get used to it on your body

Change of patient`s skin color, being red, urticarial or wound must be controlled every day during using this cervical collar, it is more important in case of children and mentally retarded people

Usable during tracheostomy and esophagostomy

This cervical collar is produced without any types of metal, so the patient can wear this cervical collar during MRI imaging
first detach the pads from this cervical collar, then wash it with water and soap, and finally attach the pads after drying it up

Do not heat the cervical collar under no circumstances
