This device is designed and manufactured for applying traction on cervical vertebrae at home or office. Cervical traction is one of the effective therapeutic stages of some spine diseases that patient can accelerate the therapeutic courses of treatment by using this device (according to his/her physician advice and direction). Also, using this device can prevent neck arthritis and some spinal discs diseases

:Usage

A)    Prevention: the cervical traction unit can be used as a device for preventing some diseases such as neck arthritis, prolapse and herniated cervical disc. So all people can use this device for preventing such diseases after obtaining approval and directions from the orthopedic specialist or physical therapy specialist.

People who are at risk of some disease such as neck arthritis and unusual changing of the cervical discs because of their daily activities and their job can use this device. Dentists, surgeons, computer operators, drivers, and typists are people who are more likely at risk of spine diseases. Also, doing some heavy works or doing some sports such as wrestling, body building and weightlifting are some reasons of spine diseases.

Those people who have or do mentioned jobs or sports can use this device after obtaining the physician advice and directions to reduce probability of spinal diseases.

B)    Treatment: traction of cervical spine is useful for treatment of some cervical spine diseases such as neck arthritis, prolapsed cervical disc, some herniated cervical discs, neck muscles spasm, headaches due to the neck arthritis, and some vertebral disorders.

   The metal body part which two plastic spool are installed on it

     10 kilograms container water bag which has weight level indicator

A piece of rope which has a metal S shape hook and a metal rod for traction at its two ends

 Chin and nape pads which are attached to each other by two ropes

:User`s guide

     Open the door and keep it in a fixed position

      hang the metal body part over the door as shown in the picture

     put a chair in front of the door

    Insert one of the rope ends through the sloop in such a way that the S shape metal hanger left in front of the door and the metal rod left on the chair

   Sit on the chair

   Put the chin and nape pads symmetrically on their places and tie a secure knot the rope to the two ends of the traction rod

      Fill the water weight bag with physician-prescribed amount of water. The minimum weight for traction is 5 kg.

     Attach gently the water weight bag to the S shape metal hook

     The head, neck, body, spools and the rope must be aligned

  Use the traction unit according to the period time which is determined by your physician. The minimum time for traction is 15 minutes.

  If the patient is a child or is a person with mental disorders. Should be controlled at the time of traction.

  The head must bent forward about 10 to 12 degrees as shown in the picture

  If you feel pain in the neck, scapula, shoulder, arm, forearm, and hands during traction tell your physician and after his/her permission continue the therapy

  After traction time, detach the water bag and drain the water from it and keep it rolled

:User`s guide
